Do you need a new doctor or a Primary Care Provider (PCP) but don’t have insurance?  Contact one of the agencies listed below for more information.

Baltimore City Health Department:

The Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD) offers free health care services for men, women, teens and children.

Types of services include:

  • Primary Care
  • Family planning
  • Cancer screening
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Reproductive education

The BCHD has two locations:

  • Druid Family Planning Clinic - 1515 W. North Avenue, Baltimore MD (410) 396-0186
  • Eastern Family Planning Clinic - 620 N. caroline Street, Baltimore, MD  21205 (410) 396-9401

Appointments are necessary

Cost: Sliding scale fees. No one is ever turned away for inability to pay.

The Center for Immunization Research may also refer volunteers to other free health care facilities such as: Jai Medical Center, located at 1235 E. Monument Street, Baltimore, MD  21202, (410-327-5100).

Don’t have insurance and need routine and emergency dental care?

The Baltimore City Health Department:

The Baltimore City Health Department BCHD)  offers oral health services and urgent dental care services to low-income, uninsured and Medicaid residents of Baltimore City.  The cost of the services is based on the resident’s income and Medicaid is accepted.  Appointments are necessary.

There are two locations in East and West Baltimore.

The University of Maryland Dental School:

The University of Maryland Dental School (UMDS) offers a wide range of dental services for adults and children. The costs of the services are usually significantly lower than regular dental clinics because the school’s students and residents perform the services.


The University of Maryland Dental School offers urgent dental care.  Space is limited and patients are encouraged to arrive at the school before 7:00a.m. Monday through Friday.
